Dear Writer,
Thanks for dropping by the Get Published Now Online Academy. Hopefully, 2012 will be the year you move closer toward your goal of becoming a published author. Now that you've mastered the learning curve of how to write, there's another one coming your way. Yikes! In truth, this next learning curve can be relatively brief--shouldn't take you years and years to master it.The process involves learning to shift from "telling" to "selling, as you learn to present your work to agents and editors. The process and many examples fill this website. Take a look. And really, really read every page. In fact, read some of them many times. Taking the next step and introducing yourself and your project to a prospective agent can be challenging. This becomes less so if you're armed with information about how to sell your skill and sell your manuscript. The purpose of this Academy is to help you move along your path toward publication by making available tools and information to keep you moving. BTW: Since March, 2010, I've been almost totally involved in a non-fiction "Project X" that I plan to self-publish in paperback form via createspace.com (an Amazon.com company). I've turned down an offer from HarperCollins because of too many reasons to list here. More about all of that later. I miss interacting with many of you at writer's conferences or through "wizard" chats and contests etc. here on site. So, until the intense initial phase of this projects settles down a bit, I won't be offering anything new except a video of two or three of encouragement from time to time. Because of the major amount of interest, and the vast amount of misinformation running rampant throughout writers land, I will be adding a page about e-publishing...when I can get to it. IN THE MEANTIME, I will continue to be available to assist you on a personal level by offering the following writer's services.

Hi there, Testimonials
Thanks for your insightful critique on my query "Survivors.” I now have received three full requests for my manuscript. One of these is from my “dream” agent. J. Kidd Molli's my hero. Her unflinching eye for electrifying and pruning helped me figure out how to write a riveting query and punch up my "quickie" elevator pitch. Mac Wheeler, Florida Writers' Association Now that Writer's Digest has published my book on writing picture books, I want to "thank you" for your help and encouragement. I couldn't have done it without you. Ann Paul, UCLA instructor/children's book author FREE TUTORIAL
