Hi There,
I'm Molli Nickell, Publishing Coach,
Online Academy, Query Letter Wizard and Cheerleader
Raised by wild bookworms in the reference section of the Kalamazoo City Library, I subsisted on a diet of soft vowels and the occasional consonant (“m” remains my favorite). My reading teeth were cut romping through books by Rudyard Kipling, Dr. Seuss, and the Encyclopedia Britannica.
A brief stint in show biz involved cornering relatives while reciting, in costume, “Horton Hatches an Egg” accompanied by kazoo music and dancing. My performing career was replaced by "hanging ten" as a surfer chick while attending Santa Monica High School, UCLA, and USC.
Moving into the larger world of publishing, I became a syndicated columnist, Time-Life editor, publisher, UCLA instructor (teaching marketing to writers), five-times published author, motivational speaker, and seminar leader.
Other activities include publishing hundreds of magazine articles, mentored Toastmaster speakers, and designing projects for Better Homes and Gardens.
Currently, I teach writers how to craft the selling documents (query, synopsis, first page and/or book proposal) they need in order to keep moving toward the ultimate goal of becoming published. I work one-on-one with clients, teach workshops and present Keynote speeches at writers' conferences around the country.
