Customized and private tele-seminars
(Query writing workshops using your phone and computer screen)
You and members of your writing/critique group interact with me as you learn to craft query letters to help get what you want--agent, publishing contract, and shelf space at Barnes and Noble.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL LEARN in a customized tele-seminar:
- What agents want to receive from you and why.
- The importance of shifting from "telling" your story to "selling" your story.
- How to structure a query using an accepted format that works.
- What common query letter mistakes to avoid.
- How to self-critique your query.
- Techniques to use as you evaluate each others' queries.
- The process of researching and qualifying agents.
- How you can give up "query fear" as you gain confidence and clear understanding about how to write a query.
NOTE: Tele-seminars also can be structured to focus on the first page or synopsis as well. Not all three at the same time.
Tele-seminars consist of three hours of instruction and interaction (using your phone and computer screen), divided into two sessions. The 90-minute sessions are scheduled two weeks apart.
Plus, the "Advantage Option" offers a limited number of your group the opportunity to receive personalized evaluation of their query letters as part of the program. For more information, click here.
