Messages/instructions for current Subscription Central members (and former workshop attendees).
HOMEWORK is due by noon, every Wednesday.
All homework submitted on or before Wednesday receives a written evaluation as well as a one-on-one evaluation during the Friday Workshop/Webinar. Late submissions are included on the workshop/webinar for on-the-spot comments from Molli and the group. (These might not receive detailed written instructions, depending on my available time.)
Homework format: Please follow exactly.
FIRST: What is your email SUBJECT line?
SECOND: Write your story core. One sentence only for each aspect.
WHO is your protagonist (main character)? What do they WANT and WHY? (Goal)
WHAT stands in their way. (Obstacle)
WHAT is the terrible "or else" that might occur if they don't get what they want. (Resolution tease)
Note: Homework assignments will vary as you advance through the query and synopsis stages, and first pages. However, regardless of where you are on the Submission Central learning curve, your work will be evaluated every week when you submit it.
Homework for the October 29 workshop/webinar is due on or before Wednesday, Oct 26 at noon Eastern.
THIS WEEK: focus on the query. Submit your three-paragraph query onto our private Facebook page.
